
Tucked away along the Intracoastal Waterway near Madeira Beach, Archie’s Island is a small, peaceful island that has become one of our favorite stops during our guided jet ski tours. With shallow clear water, a sandy shoreline and beautiful coastal scenery, it’s the perfect place to step off the jet ski, relax for a few minutes, enjoy a cold bottled water and light snacks, and capture some memorable photos from your adventure. Passengers age 9 and older are welcome on our beginner-friendly 2-Hour Intracoastal Tour, which includes a stop at Archie’s Island.

Archie’s Island was named after Archie, a beloved local dog whose name became associated with this peaceful little island along the Intracoastal Waterway near Madeira Beach. Today, the island remains a special local spot and a memorable stop for guests exploring the area by jet ski.

After cruising the Intracoastal Waterway, guests can step off the jet ski, enjoy the shallow clear water and sandy shoreline, and take a few minutes to relax in a beautiful natural setting. Families with children age 9 and older can enjoy Archie’s Island as part of our 2-Hour Intracoastal Tour.
While visiting the island, guests can enjoy cold bottled spring water and a light snack, while we capture complimentary photos and videos to remember the experience. Along the journey, keep an eye out for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rays and a variety of coastal birds that call these waters home.


Bottlenose dolphins are frequently seen throughout the Intracoastal Waterway near Archie’s Island. Keep an eye out as they surface, swim alongside the waterways and occasionally play in the wake.

Florida manatees are sometimes spotted in the calm waters around Archie’s Island and throughout the Intracoastal Waterway. These gentle marine mammals often surface quietly near shorelines and docks, making a manatee sighting a special part of the adventure.

Sea turtles can occasionally be spotted swimming through the waters near Archie’s Island and along the Intracoastal Waterway. Watch for them surfacing for air or gliding quietly beneath the water during your jet ski adventure.

Rays can often be seen gliding through the shallow waters around Archie’s Island and along the Intracoastal Waterway. Their graceful movement beneath the surface makes them an exciting wildlife sighting during your jet ski adventure.

Coastal birds are abundant around Archie’s Island and throughout the Intracoastal Waterway. Watch for pelicans, herons, egrets and other native birds along the shoreline and flying above the water during your jet ski adventure.

Ospreys are commonly seen around Archie’s Island and along the Intracoastal Waterway. Look overhead or near the shoreline for these impressive coastal birds as they soar above the water searching for fish during your jet ski adventure.
